Firearm Permits & Firearm ID Cards
 
We are no longer issued Firearms Forms by the NJ State Police, all the forms can be filled out online and printed out.  Click on the link below to go to the Forms section.
 
 
After completing the forms bring same into the Bellmawr Police Department, Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:00 PM.  You will be assigned a case number and given a form to contact the State Vendor for fingerprinting to arrange an appointment.  Once the Bellmawr Police Department receives notification from the State Police that you were fingerprinted and have no prior criminal record, and we receive all of your reference letters back it then will be determined if you will be issued a Firearms Permit or ID card.  All these factors are contributing to the amount of time that it will take to process the paperwork.  If you should have any firearm related questions please contact Det./Corporal William Perna at 856-931-2121.

Solictor's Permit Required

Remember--Bellmawr has a solictors ordinance that requires anyone going door to door to sell anything must first be investigated and approved by the Police Department.  Anyone interested in obtaining a Solictor's Permit can contact the Detective Bureau at 856-931-2121.  This also involves scheduling an appointment through the state vendor to be fingerprinted for prior criminal arrests.  Once the investigation is completed the solictor(s) will have identification issued by Bellmawr Police authorizing solicting.  If someone knocks on your door trying to sell something without this identification, please contact the Police Department immediately at 931-2120.
